Ubisoft Adds Keyboard Support to Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Switch 2

The update, originally designated as 1.1.9 but rebranded to 1.1.10, rolls out April 7th at 14:00 UTC across all platforms. Switch 2 players can now experience the game with keyboard and mouse support, offering precision control for stealth gameplay and combat. The patch also introduces PSSR2 technology for PS5 Pro owners, enhancing image quality and performance in feudal Japan’s landscapes.

Download sizes vary significantly across platforms. The Xbox Series version requires 17.46 GB, while PS5 players need 3.45 GB. Switch 2 demands 5.4 GB, Steam requires 4.4 GB, macOS needs 9 GB, and Ubisoft Connect/PC totals 14.66 GB. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available on Steam, Epic Games, Ubisoft’s storefront, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2.

The update addresses critical issues affecting progression and combat mechanics. Players can now access non-legendary Bo weapons through exploration, appearing in chests and from merchants once a unique version is obtained. Ubisoft fixed fast travel availability, enabled enemies to suffer up to five simultaneous afflictions, and corrected damage calculation bugs affecting unarmed combat and stat caps.

Weapon perks receive substantial attention. Yasuke’s Defensive Break Level 3 passive now correctly shows 150% damage on enemy collisions instead of 50%. Nonfunctional upgrades like Critical Insight and Hidden Onslaught are restored, alongside fixes for the Oni’s Rage Kanabo perk and Claws of the Tides Katana ability.

Three campaign missions receive fixes. Brothers In Arms resolves a looting progression issue, Lost and Found addresses Sentinel Boss arena problems, and The Winter Raiders enables mission completion after defeating all objectives. A severe bug preventing players from accessing Claws of Awaji expansion gear after updating is also patched.

The Detailed Stat Sheet now displays Combo Ender damage correctly and clarifies capped versus uncapped statistics. A progression tracker bug stuck at 97.89% is resolved. Localization updates clarify ability damage values, including the Hurricane Stance Naginata ability from the expansion.

This update transforms Switch 2 accessibility while stabilizing core gameplay systems.
