ETEVERS Group has solidified its position in the competitive South Korean cloud computing market through a strategic collaboration agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud migration among Korean enterprises, reinforcing AWS’s commitment to the region and ETEVERS’s ambition to become a leading force in digital transformation.
The agreement, finalized on October 14th, marks the second SCA between the two companies, building upon a previously established and successful relationship. ETEVERS is investing heavily in cloud technologies, and AWS recognizes them as a valuable and trusted partner.
The SCA focuses on three primary areas:
- AI and data-driven service development,
- Industry-specific cloud migration acceleration, and
- Sustainable IT infrastructure deployment.
ETEVERS plans to leverage AWS’s robust cloud infrastructure to provide Korean businesses with advanced AI solutions.
The signing ceremony included key figures from both companies, including ETEVERS Group Chairman Jung Myung-chul, ETECH SYSTEM CEO Kim Gun-do, and ETEVERS CEO Lee Ho-jun, along with AWS representatives such as AWS Partnerships APJ Director Chris Casey, AWS Korea Partner Business Lead Heo Jung-yeol, and AWS APJ Partner Solutions Architecture Director Mahin Sonia. Discussions during the ceremony centered on collaboration strategies and detailed implementation plans.
ETEVERS has already demonstrated its capabilities in cloud-based AI implementations through several success stories:
- Voice Caddie, a sports technology firm, utilizes AWS CloudFront to improve global service response times and deliver personalized insights to golf users using AI and machine learning-based data analysis.
- Cuchen, a home appliance manufacturer, uses Amazon RDS to achieve a 30% increase in data processing speed and a 50% reduction in product launch cycles.
- TeamPlus, an entertainment platform, employs Amazon Aurora to provide stable ticketing services and intends to use AWS for generative AI and business intelligence implementation.
These examples highlight ETEVERS’s effectiveness in helping Korean companies harness the power of AI and cloud computing across diverse industries.
ETECH SYSTEM, a key affiliate of ETEVERS Group, holds the status of an AWS Advanced Tier Service Partner. The company’s expertise in AWS technologies is further validated by its certifications, including AWS Migration and Modernization Competency certification, AWS MSP 6.0, AWS ISV Accelerate Partner status, AWS Small and Medium Business (SMB) Competency, and AWS ProServe Infrastructure & Security Advanced Partner (PISAP) certification.
These certifications underscore ETECH SYSTEM’s deep understanding of AWS cloud technologies and its ability to guide businesses through complex cloud migration projects. They are planning to develop and implement customer-specific Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies in AWS core cloud areas including GenAI & Data, Migration & Modernization, and Channel Partner Private Offer (CPPO) & AWS Marketplace.
Since the initial SCA in July 2021, ETEVERS has experienced substantial growth, including a fivefold increase in cloud revenue, a 160% increase in partner growth, and a 383% expansion of its enterprise customer base. This second SCA is designed to further solidify this positive momentum and drive increased cloud adoption in Korea.
ETEVERS Learning, the group’s ICT education division, contributes significantly by offering specialized training programs through the PISAP program in collaboration with AWS Professional Services (AWS ProServe).
Kim Gun-do, CEO of ETECH SYSTEM, emphasized that the SCA establishes a comprehensive strategic partnership that extends beyond technical collaboration to encompass cloud migration, data and AI strategy, security, and organizational transformation. He stated that they will enhance customer-centric cloud services’ operational expertise with ETEVERS’s cloud-native capabilities.
Lee Ho-jun, CEO of ETEVERS, added that the second SCA represents AWS’s recognition of ETEVERS Group’s technical capabilities and achievements. He affirmed the company’s commitment to close collaboration with AWS to deliver next-generation cloud innovation models based on AI, data, and security, positioning ETEVERS as a DX accelerator driving growth in Korea’s cloud industry.
Mike Hur, AWS Korea Partner Business Lead, stated that the second Strategic Collaboration Agreement with ETEVERS represents a significant milestone that strengthens their successful three-year partnership. He believes that with ETEVERS’s technical expertise, validated through AWS Migration and Modernization Competency and PISAP certification, and with ETEVERS’s partner expansion capabilities, they will enable more Korean enterprises to rapidly achieve generative AI and data-driven digital transformation on AWS’s innovative cloud infrastructure and secure competitive advantage.
The partnership between ETEVERS and AWS represents a strategic investment in the future of cloud computing and AI in South Korea. As Korean businesses increasingly embrace digital transformation, ETEVERS is positioning itself as a key enabler, powered by the capabilities of AWS. This collaboration has the potential to reshape the competitive landscape and accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the nation.
