What changed most: The driver delivers day-one optimization for the ARC Raiders: Headwind Update and, more significantly, unlocks massive performance gains in Arknights: Endfield for RTX 50 series owners via DLSS 4.

The new GeForce Game Ready driver, version 591.86 WHQL, provides crucial launch-day support for the free-to-play shooter ARC Raiders and its Headwind Update. It also brings initial optimizations for the new PvP shooter, Highguard, ensuring a smoother experience from the get-go.
The main highlight, however, is the support for the strategy RPG Arknights: Endfield. According to NVIDIA, players with RTX 50 series GPUs can enable DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation. The company claims this can triple performance at 4K with maxed-out settings, or even help players hit the game’s lofty 480 FPS cap at lower resolutions. This is a significant boost that should make for an incredibly fluid experience.
Beyond game optimizations, the driver also includes important bug fixes. NVIDIA has resolved graphical artifacts in Total War: Three Kingdoms, addressed color management issues with SDR content when Windows Automatic Color Management is enabled, and fixed freezes occurring on ASUS G14 laptops.
While the performance claims for Arknights: Endfield are impressive, they currently rely on NVIDIA’s driver-level tech. The game’s developer, HYPERGRYPH, has stated they are working to integrate native DLSS support in a future game update, which could further refine the experience. For now, this driver is the only way for RTX 50 series owners to access these frame generation capabilities.
The day-one support for ARC Raiders is a welcome sight for players jumping into the co-op shooter, as launch-day stability can make or break the initial experience. This proactive support from NVIDIA shows a commitment to ensuring new releases run well from the moment they unlock.
This is a must-download driver for anyone playing ARC Raiders, Highguard, or Arknights: Endfield, especially if you’re running a new RTX 50 series card. The performance claims for Arknights are bold, and if they hold up, it will be a showcase for NVIDIA’s latest tech. Even if you’re not playing those specific games, the fixes for Total War and system-level bugs make this a worthwhile update for maintaining system stability.
