The One UI 8.5 update is anticipated to succeed One UI 8, which is expected to launch with Android 16. This internal testing phase is a standard procedure for Samsung, allowing the company to identify and fix bugs before releasing a public beta or a stable version. The process typically begins several months ahead of the official unveiling of the new software. The Galaxy Tab S8 series, which launched with Android 12, is slated to receive this update as part of its extended software support commitment from Samsung.
