Sony’s vision transcends basic automation. The company aims to equip its 57,000 employees with AI tools, fostering innovation and improving efficiency across all business units.

Agentic AI for Employees

The core of this transformation is Sony’s internal enterprise AI platform. This platform provides employees with access to generative and agentic AI services, powered by Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. This enables Sony to develop, deploy, and manage AI agents with enterprise-grade security and scalability.

The platform currently handles 150,000 inference requests daily, and Sony anticipates a 300-fold increase in the coming years. The envisioned applications include AI assisting with content creation, responding to inquiries, forecasting trends, detecting fraud, and brainstorming new ideas, essentially providing an AI assistant for each employee.

Nova Forge and Efficiency Gains

Sony is also utilizing the Amazon Nova Forge program to develop advanced AI models. Preliminary results are promising, with one AI agent potentially increasing the efficiency of Sony’s review and assessment processes by a remarkable 100 times. This represents a substantial improvement in operational efficiency.

The Sony Engagement Platform is the central component of this AI-driven strategy. It is designed to deepen the relationships between fans and content creators, cultivating a sense of community and shared experience.
