HYCU, a data protection firm, has partnered with VSTECS, an ICT distributor in Asia-Pacific, to expand the reach of its HYCU R-Cloud™ Platform in Southeast Asia. The partnership aims to provide enterprise customers in the region with resilient data protection solutions across hybrid, cloud-native, and SaaS workloads, according to the companies.
HYCU announced a distribution agreement with VSTECS, making VSTECS a regional distributor of HYCU’s R-Cloud platform across Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia. This collaboration seeks to leverage VSTECS’ network of over 50,000 channel partners to broaden the availability of HYCU’s data protection solutions in the region.
VSTECS brings a network of more than 50,000 channel partners, while HYCU’s R-Cloud platform supports over 90 as-a-service workloads.
The partnership between HYCU and VSTECS arrives as Southeast Asian organizations increase their adoption of cloud and SaaS services. This creates a demand for data protection solutions that can address ransomware threats, compliance requirements, and the need for business continuity. HYCU’s R-Cloud platform competes with offerings from companies like Veeam and Cohesity, providing data protection across diverse environments. VSTECS’ role as a distributor will be to enable resellers and solution providers to deliver HYCU’s technology to a wider range of enterprise clients.
The distribution agreement is intended to extend the availability of HYCU R-Cloud across Southeast Asia. Customers can expect integrated ransomware recovery through HYCU R-Shield™, support for numerous as-a-service workloads, and deployment without the need for additional infrastructure. The partnership aims to help IT teams protect and recover VMs, databases, SaaS applications, and AI workloads.
