GTA 4 RTX Remix Mod 1.5.2 Enhances DLSS 5 & Effects
Modder xoxor4d has rolled out Update 1.5.2 for the Grand Theft Auto 4 RTX Remix Path Tracing Mod, bringing targeted improvements to visual fidelity that players will notice almost immediately.

The core of this update focuses on DLSS 5 integration, replacing Lunks’ initial implementation with Sparkles’ version. According to the modder, this swap significantly reduces shadow flickering and makes the overall experience noticeably more stable, targeting rendering artifacts that were bothering players in the previous build.

Beyond DLSS, the update fine-tunes several visual elements that add up to a cleaner final image. Update 1.5.2 slightly increases the alpha value of Litsprite particles, enhancing effects like mist and tire smoke throughout the game world. The default RTXDI sample count also moves to 64, a specific tweak that makes vehicle headlights appear noticeably less noisy at night.

The patch may look small on paper, but it directly improves image fidelity in ways that are easy to spot once you’re driving through Liberty City. Current players should grab version 1.5.2 for these fixes.

GTA 4 joins a growing list of older titles getting the RTX Remix Path Tracing treatment. Fans have already seen similar mods land for Black Mesa and Star Wars Republic Commando, along with Need for Speed Carbon and NFS: Underground.

Even titles like Manhunt and BioShock have received path tracing overhauls, as modders keep finding new ways to extend the life of games many players grew up with.

Version 1.5.2 is available now via direct download on GitHub.
