Bungie Releases Destiny 2 Update 9.7.0.3 with Fixes
Bungie has rolled out version 9.7.0.3 of Destiny 2 across all platforms today, July 7. Console players will see this as update 4.00 or 1.195. The patch brings numerous fixes and adjustments spanning combat, activities, gear, and abilities, addressing issues that have been impacting player experience.

What’s In This Update

The latest patch tackles a wide range of in-game problems. Bungie has addressed issues in Trials of Osiris, applied combat adjustments for weapons and abilities, fixed critical raid bugs, and resolved several gear-related problems that were causing frustration for players.

Activity and Combat Improvements

Reputation gains from Vanguard and Crucible Ops activity completions have increased, giving players faster progression. Crucible players will notice suspension timers now correctly reflect local spacetime, fixing a previous display error that was causing confusion in competitive modes.

The Meltdown map has been re-enabled in all Crucible playlists after developers fixed several out-of-bounds exploits that players were using to gain unfair advantages. This opens up map variety in competitive play again.

Trials of Osiris and Raid Fixes

In Trials of Osiris, the new Cursed Eternal Shell and Pharaonic Shroud Shell are now obtainable from the flawless chest for all players, removing barriers that were blocking progression for some.

Several raid and dungeon fixes have landed:

  • Divinity can no longer damage Insurrection Prime outside the standard phase in Pantheon
  • The Consecrated Mind encounter in Pantheon has been reverted to a harder difficulty after a previous nerf
  • Master version of Duality is now correctly available
  • Elevators in Deep Stone Crypt and Operation Seraph’s Shield that were frequently killing players have been fixed

Armor, Weapons, and Gear Updates

Several visual and functional gear issues have been resolved. The Titan Flamecaller Gauntlets ornament no longer obscures the screen while aiming bows. Warlock Lightguard Robes also had a first-person visibility issue corrected that was blocking view during combat.

Players can now focus the Trials New Demotic and Iron Banner Iron Panoply armor sets, even if they hadn’t acquired them in past seasons. The Backfang Glaive focusing issue at the Drifter has also been resolved, making that weapon more accessible.

Ability Fixes and Quality of Life

Hunter Nightstalker: Phantom Surge now correctly hits and triggers perks on weakened or tethered targets when Stylish Executioner is active.

Titan Sentinel: Projectiles and abilities can no longer pass through Ward of Dawn in PvP matches, restoring the intended defensive capability.

Currency issues: New Chronolog earnings are now functional for accounts that retained vaulted Chronologs. Affected players will receive compensation soon.

Performance fix: The Pack Tactics artifact perk, which was causing performance issues during extended play sessions, has been fixed.

Shader fix: The Sunflower Vintage shader from the Monument of Triumph is now usable after purchase, resolving a long-standing issue with that cosmetic item.

Ongoing Support

Despite the end of new live-service content, Bungie continues supporting Destiny 2 with important stability updates and bug fixes. This demonstrates an ongoing commitment to maintaining the game experience for the community, ensuring critical bugs and balancing issues don’t go unaddressed.
