EA FC 26 Update 1.26 Delivers Key Stability Fixes

EA Sports FC 26 just got a crucial maintenance update. Version 1.26 (internally known as Title Update 1.6.1) is now live across PC and consoles, bringing targeted stability improvements and bug fixes as the game heads into its busiest competitive season.

The update appeared on console dashboards as version 1.000.026 and comes with a small file size, meaning it should download and install quickly for most players.

What’s in the Update

This is primarily a backend stability hotfix. EA Sports identified and patched multiple general stability issues that emerged across various game modes following last week’s major content rollout for The World’s Game campaign.

Players should notice smoother overall performance, particularly in online matchmaking. The patch aims to refine game performance ahead of the busy summer tournament season, when server loads spike significantly.

Known Issues Still Being Fixed

While 1.26 addresses baseline stability, EA’s engineering team is still actively investigating several more complex bugs affecting the PC community specifically.

Two problems are getting priority attention. The first causes connected gamepads to randomly stop registering inputs during matches, which is understandably frustrating for competitive players. The second resets custom advanced graphics settings whenever a player toggles through the settings menu.

Development teams confirmed they are actively tracking these issues and working toward fixes in future patches.

The timing here is strategic. As the competitive season heats up and more players jump into ranked matches, EA is prioritizing server stability and core performance. Expect more reliable online matches going forward, though the studio continues monitoring connectivity behavior across its infrastructure to catch any remaining issues.

If you’re on PC and dealing with the gamepad or graphics reset bugs, the team is aware and working on it. In the meantime, this update should give everyone a more stable foundation to build on.
