The latest Geekbench AI listing shows the Exynos 2700’s prime core reaching 4.24 GHz, a substantial jump over earlier samples that were capped at 2.88 GHz. The new data also confirms an unlocked 1+4+1+4 quad cluster configuration, giving a clearer picture of how the chip is structured.
Details From the Test Device
The test device ran Android 17 and included approximately 11GB of RAM. It carried the S5E9975 engineering tag, consistent with earlier leaks tied to this chip. The CPU identifier also points to Arm’s unannounced Canyon
core, adding another data point to what’s expected under the hood. Miguel Palispis, a news writer at Gadget Pilipinas, first reported the finding.
How This Compares to Snapdragon
These elevated clock speeds place the Exynos 2700 in closer competition with the frequencies of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips, narrowing a gap that has typically favored Qualcomm in recent generations. Samsung expects to manufacture the Exynos 2700 using its 2nm process, known as SF2P, and the chip is slated to power the upcoming Galaxy S27 series.
Why Engineering Samples Come With Caveats
While these speeds demonstrate strong performance potential, tech experts advise some caution before drawing firm conclusions. Engineering samples often don’t fully reflect the final retail product, and clock speeds along with overall optimization could still shift before launch.
The true capabilities of the Exynos 2700 will only be confirmed once Samsung officially unveils the chip.
