Bybit has rolled out a new AI chat interface within its app, integrating trading and customer support into a single conversational window. The cryptocurrency exchange aims to simplify complex user workflows with the new tool, named Bybit AI.

Launched on September 11, 2026, Bybit AI lets users make plain language requests for trading and account tasks. The assistant interprets these requests and executes actions directly within the app, skipping the usual maze of menus. It covers Spot, Futures, and Options trading, along with Bybit Earn, Copy Trading, Trading Bot, Loan, P2P, Bybit Card, Spot X, the Rewards Hub, and notification management.

One Chat Window, One Platform

Bybit Co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou framed the launch as part of the exchange’s broader New Financial Platform roadmap, describing the goal as giving users something like a team of financial experts right in your pocket. The idea is to connect Bybit’s separate business lines through one conversational layer rather than forcing users to navigate between dashboards.

That extends to customer service too, where the AI assistant works alongside human agents instead of replacing them outright. CTO Rockman Zhang put it simply: The goal is to make it easier for users to find what they need and take action in one place.

A Separate Account for AI Actions

To use Bybit AI, users first activate it, which creates a dedicated sub-account. Bybit says this sub-account stays separate from a user’s main balance, functioning as a risk control measure that limits what the AI can touch. Onboarding requires no API key or manual configuration, which keeps the barrier to entry low while still walling off the assistant’s reach.

Where This Fits in the Wider Market

Bybit isn’t the only exchange moving fast right now. The company also introduced 24/7 trading for FX Majors within its crypto derivatives account, expanding trading hours for its user base. Binance, meanwhile, plans to establish a settlement hub in Kazakhstan targeting clients across the Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe.

Regulators aren’t moving at the same pace as the exchanges. The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority recently estimated the net benefit of its crypto regime at just GBP 120 million, a modest figure that says a lot about how measured the current regulatory impact actually is. Australia has removed 45 remittance and crypto providers from its Anti-Money Laundering registers, part of a continued push to formalize oversight across the industry.

Hashlytics Take

The sub-account structure is the detail worth paying attention to here, not the chat interface itself. Every exchange wants a friendlier front end, but walling off AI-driven actions into a separate balance is Bybit quietly admitting that letting an assistant touch your main funds unsupervised is still too risky to ship. That’s the right instinct, and it’s also a tell. Until AI trading assistants earn enough trust to operate without a firewall around them, expect every exchange that follows Bybit’s lead to build the same kind of moat.
