Cancel via PlayStation.com
The quickest way to cancel is through your web browser.
- Visit PlayStation.com and sign in
- Click your profile picture in the upper right corner
- Select “Subscription” from the left menu
- Choose “Cancel Subscription”

Both PS5 and PS4 offer built-in cancellation, though the menu paths differ slightly.
On PlayStation 5
- Go to Settings from the home screen
- Select Users and Accounts, then Account
- Choose Payment and Subscriptions
- Select your PlayStation Plus subscription and tap Cancel
On PlayStation 4
- Go to Settings from the home screen
- Select Account Management, then Account Information
- Choose Subscriptions
- Select your PlayStation Plus subscription and tap Cancel

If you prefer mobile, the PlayStation app offers quick cancellation.
- Open the PS Store from the bottom menu
- Tap the menu icon in the top right
- Choose Subscription Management
- Select Cancel on your subscription
Why People Are Canceling

Cancellation takes effect immediately, but your benefits don’t disappear overnight. You’ll retain full access to your subscription benefits through the end of your current billing period. After that date, access to the game library, monthly free games, cloud storage, and online multiplayer ends.
The good news: avatars, cosmetic packs, and discounted purchases you acquired during your subscription stay with you permanently. You’re not losing those digital assets.
Want to Come Back? It’s Easy
If you change your mind, reactivating is simple. Just return to your subscription settings and select “Reactivate Subscription.” If you reactivate before your next billing date, your service resumes without interruption.
If you wait longer, you’ll need to purchase a new subscription through the PlayStation Store. No penalty, no complications.
