The Green G badge appears directly on a player’s profile as a green crest with a distinct border. It’s tied to the Xbox Live profile itself rather than a specific console, so it shows up whether you’re playing on Series X, Series S, or any other signed-in device.
Higher Gamerscore, Fancier Border
The badge changes appearance as a player’s Gamerscore climbs. Reaching the first level requires at least 1,000 Gamerscore, and the “G” stays put at the center while the border grows more elaborate at each new milestone. Those milestones stretch from 1,000 all the way up to 10 million Gamerscore.
The badge is purely cosmetic. It exists to let players show off their achievement hunting, and since Gamerscore is public information on every Xbox profile, anyone who visits can see exactly what a player has earned.
Where to Check Your Own Score
Gamerscore builds up from achievements earned across every Xbox generation a player has touched. Checking it takes just a few taps, whether on console or through the app:
- On console: Go to Profile, select Game activity, then All achievements
- On the Xbox app: Tap your profile icon in the top left corner, then choose View profile
Individual achievements can be hidden depending on gaming history, but the overall Gamerscore total cannot be hidden. It sits right below the bio section on every profile, badge and all.
